About Us
We are just one part of the broader St. Vincent de Paul conference, united in our mission to extend assistance to those in need within our community, echoing the love that God has called us to demonstrate. Operating within the Midwest region, we collaborate with partners such as the North American Lineman School to support approximately 200 families by providing essential food supplies.
Our Core Values
- Spirituality: Our faith is the foundation of everything we do. We commit ourselves to prayer, reflection, and sharing God’s love. Through spiritual growth, we become the hands and feet of Christ.
- Service: We engage in personal encounters, recognizing the dignity of every individual. Our volunteers serve with compassion, providing practical help while empowering the voices of those we assist.
- Friendship: Genuine relationships transform lives. We build lifelong bonds not only with those we serve but also among our members, supporting each other on our faith journeys.
What we do
Comprehensive Care for Those in Need
Our chapter offers a broad range of programs designed to address immediate needs and promote lasting change for individuals and families facing hardship. We believe in a holistic approach to poverty that combines direct aid with advocacy and community-building.
Home Visits & Personal Encounters
The heart of our ministry is the home visit—a compassionate, face-to-face encounter where Vincentian volunteers provide food, clothing, utility assistance, and a listening ear. These visits foster trust and understanding, allowing us to offer support tailored to each family’s unique situation.
Emergency Assistance Programs
We run regular drives and emergency aid programs supplying food baskets, clothing, coats, and school supplies, especially during holidays and seasons of increased need. Our partnerships with local agencies enhance our ability to respond quickly and effectively.
Community Events & Outreach
Events like our annual Trunk-or-Treat, holiday meals, and community cleanups not only provide resources but also strengthen the fabric of our parish and neighborhood. These gatherings create a space for fellowship and collective action.
What Makes Us Different
- We live out our vocation by growing in holiness
- We are more than a Catholic organization; we are a movement of love and justice
- We prioritize serving the poorest and most marginalized in society
